Bay Corrugated Container, Inc. is a family run operation that began manufacturing corrugated packaging in 1964. Starting off with just a few pieces of equipment, our company has expanded significantly during its existence. For many years we’ve produced corrugated cartons and corrugated pallets for the distribution and automotive industries. More recently, we have diversified our customer base into the food and beverage, retail, and consumer products industries. With over 50 years of corrugated experience, we pride ourselves in our ability to adapt to change, create new and efficient solutions, and deliver outstanding customer service. Sitting on over 20 acres, our Monroe, Michigan facility has grown to approximately 400,000 square feet of manufacturing, warehouse, and office space. Bay continually makes upgrades to its machinery, design department, and computer systems. It is important to us to stay on top of ever-changing technology.
In 2006 Bay Corrugated Container became a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), and more recently, in 2016, we became a certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE). Our team takes full advantage of the networking opportunities available to us through our minority status. Events such as Trade Fairs and Matchmakers have helped us maintain a steady increase in business even during times of slow economic growth. We have successfully connected with many new customers as well as new suppliers. Through the memberships we are a part of and the events our team attends, we have increased our minority spend; showing our support for other WBEs and MBEs.
During 2006 we were introduced to HACCP – Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points – a program that identifies potential hazards in a preventative manner. Our program is reviewed twice a year during the time in which our ISO 9001:2008 program is internally audited. In 2009 our organization began a more stringent food safety program by making some simple changes in how we look at our practices. We felt it was necessary to start a program in order to accommodate the needs of our food producing clients. Since the beginning of the program, we have been audited on a yearly basis by the American Institute of Baking (AIB). We have found it beneficial to have a third party examine our process to assist us in our objective to advance.
In 2010 Bay Corrugated Container started our sustainability program. We became a certified secondary producer through the Sustainability Forestry Initiative [SFI] Program. Our paper sourcing is audited every year with certificate renewals every 5 years.
We proudly produce the highest quality of corrugated packaging products for a broad customer base. Our total commitment to quality, innovation, and customer service makes us the obvious choice for all of your corrugated packaging needs. We encourage you to explore our website to learn more about us!
